Shots fired on the bridge…

So I’m heading over the Neponset bridge this morning when all hell breaks loose. Apparently someone decided to steal a rental car on the South Shore and drive it back to Dorchester. As most of you know the bridge is a mess these days and the median strip is open to facilitate construction. This is usually watched over by State Troopers on detail. One of those Troopers spotted the stolen car coming over the bridge from Quincy and ordered him to stop. The driver decided to try and run over the Trooper to escape. The suspect crossed the median into oncoming traffic and the Trooper got knocked to the ground. 2 other Troopers manning the intersection took notice and started running to the downed officer. This is when one of them opened fire on the vehicle. From where I was it looked like the car was heading straight at vehicles sitting at the traffic light under the expressway. The car swerved around those vehicles then took a left onto Gallivan Blvd and sped west. The driver was flooring it….you could see blue smoke coming out of the tailpipe. All 3 Troopers appeared ok but looked shocked. 2 guys in pickups pulled over to check on the officers. As traffic loosened up it seemed like there were State Trooper and Boston Police cruisers and bikes coming out of the woodwork….

What a way to start the day! My prayers are with the Trooper…hopefully he’s not injured and they catch this scumbag.

Police are searching an area down by River Street in Dorchester right now….keep your eyes open!

Technology changes rapidly, sometimes its a full-time gig just keeping up with it. Our military seems to keep a solid grip on all the latest advancements, if it wasn’t for military investment this blog wouldn’t exist. (thanks DARPA!)

Hence our ability to fight a large percentage of our wars remotely. There’s a ton of debate within our military of just how high that percentage will ultimately become. But, I’m a believer in that we are only bounded by the limits of our imagination when it comes to the defense of our country.

Have a peek at this remote controlled car. Can you imagine how this could be used to help our military? Picture it being very quiet…padded wheels…with a camera, a mic or even an explosive. Remote controlled vehicles were originally conceived by Nikola Tesla in the 1800′s….but they continue to evolve….DAILY!

So this girl from luxlyfe.com makes a trip to Boston to showcase our businesses and give folks a tour around our wonderful city. That’s all good, seems like a sweet girl but she starts that annoying thing tourists love to do….imitate our accents. I wouldn’t dare walk into LA and try to imitate some toothy dbag surfer!

So she prances into Southie for the parade thinking she’s going to bump into a Boston celeb. Instead she walks down to Engine 39 on D Street and bumps into a firefighter from Charlestown. The firefighter is the celebrity in my eyes…when she says she’s from LA….the response is priceless.

Those Italian cab drivers have a way with the ladies don’t they? We all know Italian guys love the Irish chicks….but does Bobby really have to trash Irish dudes while running his game on female passengers?

You know what they say about big feet right?  Ya….big Adidas!

He really pulled the shoe size maneuver? I gotta hand it to him, Bobby has b*lls driving around Southie talking trash about the Irish.
